How often do I need to change the filter?
Replace the carbon filter every 2–4 weeks (more often in multi-pet homes) and rinse the pre-filter sponge weekly, swapping it monthly. That keeps water clear and odor-free.
Is the pump really quiet?
Yes — the pump runs below 40 dB, quieter than a whisper. If it ever gets noisy, it usually just needs a rinse or the water level topped up.
Which filters fit my fountain?
Classic filter packs fit the original plastic-top 50/84/95/108oz fountains; the current-generation packs fit the stainless-steel-top models. Both include pre-filter sponges.
How big is the 95oz fountain — is it enough for several pets?
The flagship holds 95oz / 2.8L, comfortably serving multiple cats or a cat-and-small-dog household for several days between refills.
How do I clean the fountain?
Unplug it, disassemble, and wash all parts with warm water and mild soap weekly. The 85oz model’s detachable tank and clip design makes this a two-minute job. Most parts rinse clean easily; avoid dishwashers for the pump.
My pump stopped working — do I need a new fountain?
Usually not. The replacement pump fits 50oz, 95oz and 108oz fountains, connects over USB and even adds LED lighting — a $13 fix instead of a new unit.
Are the materials safe?
The fountains are made of BPA-free, food-grade materials. Wash before first use and use regular tap or filtered water.
